On 10/12/2011 Shopzilla. announced that they will be implementing seasonal rate increases in selected categories. This rate increase will go into effect on 11/07/2011 and continue through 12/25/2011. The holiday shopping season is nearly here and we want to inform you of Shopzilla’s seasonal rate increases applicable in select categories. This change is effective November 7, 2011 through December 25, 2011 and reflects the increased consumer buying activity that occurs during the holiday shopping season.

In our continuing efforts to ensure our rates parallel the performance of the leads we deliver, seasonal trends, and industry developments, we are adjusting rates only in select categories. From November 7 through December 25, 2011 we will adjust the cost per lead in these categories by 0%, 15%, 20%, or 25%. Download our holiday rate table to review the category specific adjustments. Rate adjustments apply to all accounts in all categories with active bids.

As with the previous post about NexTag‘s upcoming rate card changes, I am a little late getting this post out. Again better late than never!!

On 5/12/11 an e-mail went out to Shopzilla merchants alerting them of the upcoming rate card changes.

Dear Merchant,

Effective June 1, 2011 Shopzilla is implementing a new rate card. We will be increasing minimum rates in several categories, decreasing rates in Appliances and DVDs and leaving rates in some categories as-is.

We will automatically adjust any CPC bids that are below the new minimum rates on June 1. CPC bids that are above the new minimum rates will not be changed.

Good Morning Comparison Shopping Engine Gurus!

Shopzilla has annouced its Holiday Seasonal Rate adjustments for 2010. According to the e-mail below, they will be raising the cost per click charges on a selected number of categories. The cost per click adjustment will range from 0% to 30%. Since the rate adjustment is not a set percentage across all categories, it is extremely important that you do the research! Visit the Holiday Rate Table PDF and take note of the increases, if any, your categories will be receiving.

The Shopzilla Holiday Seasonal Rate adjustment will take effect on November 15th 2010 and run through December 27th 2010.
